The Shortstop Deli was founded in 1978 by Albert and Cindy Smith who

set out to build the BEST SANDWICH in Ithaca.

They chose to use only the finest Meats, Cheeses

and Vegetables and  serve it on Bread baked right in the store.

They allowed the customer to decide the toppings, so they could

really have it Their Way.

We think he has succeeded in creating Ithaca’s  BEST SANDWICH

Ithaca Journal and the    Ithaca Times.

Our Sandwiches have been voted “Best of Ithaca” by the readers

of both papers almost every year since the inception of the award.
